woah! appalling, although there is something kind of awesome about how relentlessly this sucks.

I was at first sceptical when pressing play. The curry I had last night has been squeezing itself out of me all day, like one of those cake decorating icing things, the last one left a magnificent shape, like a fat earthworm with its hungry mouth open, thirsty for the muddy toilet water.
But once I pressed play the pain left me, it helped that the fish in the tropical tank started to dance, but maybe that was down to the ketamine.
I’ve been thinking about getting a hair transplant, it’s hard to pull school girls when you have more on your chest than your head. Maybe they can use the ones on my ass, it would cure to birds with one stone, I wouldn’t have to worry about the painfull swinging peanuts and the tearing sounds they make when i grit my teeth to remove them.
This album rules, the song titles suit it perfectly, hopefully it will get me laid.

Of course it was necessary to be-gin my review with the definition of beauty, because, like a radiant light SHINING out of the deep black of the thickest dark-ness, this album parades it from all angles.
Like any red-blooded male, what first caught my eye was the cover, and a google search proved more than worthwhile. How devine it is to have music which matches the BEAUTY of the artist.
I stayed sober for this, wanted to be clear-headed while looking into her eyes on my favorite google image, listening to her lusciously SWEET sounds.

I’ll keep this short again, as my posts have been getting very long of late, and are not being appreciated. So, ignore the mind-less comments above mine, and take my advice (after all I have been partaking of deep-audiomancy for nigh on 30 years now).
Listen to this, you WON’T regret it.

The latest incarnation of New Dreams Ltd. is 情報デスクVIRTUAL, which in Roman letters is written ‘Jouhou Desuku VIRTUAL’, roughly meaning ‘Virtual Information Desk’. The album, released in April, is called ‘札幌コンテンポラリー’ meaning ‘Contemporary Sapporo’, a reference to the Japanese city, and its track titles are quite something to behold: ODYSSEUSこう岩寺「OUTDOOR MALL」 (the characters in the middle mean ‘granite temple’), HEALING 海岸で昼寝MY LAST TEARS (in the middle, ‘nap on the beach’), 3D崖の端 ∕ ‘‘B E Y O N D’‘ THE LIMIT (begins ‘3D Edge of a Cliff’) and the astonishing XX ‘‘RUBY DUSK ON A 2ND LIFE NUDE BEACH’‘ ☯ . . . の生活・・・「ロベルタ」 (‘… Of life… “Roberta”’). With aeroplanes and a flight attendant on the cover and track titles referencing malls, museums and hotels, the album seems to present itself as an aid to the tourism industry, but then are also references to sports cars, the internet, weed and pornography. The music on ‘Contemporary Sapporo’ is the most dead-pan vaporwave can get – sultry smooth jazz instrumentals and exotica from session musicians in the glossiest studios, ringing with E Pianos and other infinitely engineered synthesiser presets. And yet even here, the producer throws in the occasional moment of glitch or pitchbend to jolt the listener out of complacency, and to smash the glass.

Parody and appropriation often go hand in hand, but the appropriation here is so ridiculously extensive you might mistake these recontextualizations as a reframing of the synthetic pop products of past in order to uncover their supposed innate value. But whether or not these songs are considered “good” to begin with is quickly brushed aside by the training-video aesthetics of opening track “WELCOME 2 SHOP@HOME NETW☯RK LLC #WEEDBREAK #ROLL_UP_THEM_BLUNTS_FOR_2K12,” a track so cheesy and so bad that, even when reframed, it’s cheesy and bad. Or, at the very least, forgettable and inconsequential. This indifference to taste is flaunted throughout the album — on the mid-level hotel restaurant jazz of “札幌地下鉄・・・「ENTERING FLIGHT MUSEUM」” and “HOTEL TAIWAN WELC☯MES U,” on the new age presets of “PRISM CORP不可能な生き物” and “M A X I FERRARI ~ レーススラム,” on the crisp adult-contemporary flows of “MARBLE白鳥” and “HEALING 海岸で昼寝MY LAST TEARS” — to the point where this direct and, importantly, chosen confrontation with the bland becomes a large part of the sensually jarring, hyperreality-by-proxy experience that is listening to 札幌コンテンポラリー.
