    Vassalotti, a Florida-based songwriter & performer for critically acclaimed 4AD signees…

Tampa Florida, a nice city, quaint. I don’t understand your remark. Do you mean that 4AD is a good or bad label? Did you stop reading the Pitchfork review because of the label 4AD and wanted to begin listening to the record?

I don’t know, I’m not even sure, I guess I realized I was reading advertising copy rather than a review of some music…I don’t have an opinion on this dude (although the one song i watched 30 seconds of on youtube seemed pretty ok) and i’m neutral on 4AD…I guess I just can’t stand the way people write about music, which is why I like places with no writers like nodata.

lol, you are correct. Can you imagine writing for Pitchfork or other blogs and being assigned to write a review for, let’s say, the new Ty Segal release (every other week). Christ on the cross, you dare not utter one single sentence that is truthful. Music bloggers are paid to buffer the ‘naked truth’ about the artist. Yes, occasionally there is a great artist with a great recording (check out Anamai’s 2015 release) and sometimes a good writer is assigned to that artist. It all works then, and yes, there are no bloggers on NoData.
