america’s favorite trifecta, now in mp3 format!
yip
YES!!!!!
This is pretty boring, would work 6 years ago when this hadn’t all been done before.
Nah, I dig it–you’ve gotta really enjoy and get into this kind of music, for sure. Otherwise, “boring, reiterative, lazy, stupid” all tend to come up in the reviews. The magic’s in the details and subtle evolution of the songs over the course of the whole album. Genres that are hundreds of years old are still putting out the same stuff, and much of it’s great. Gimme more good music, that’s all I want.
Highly recommend Donato Dozzy’s album, “K” if you like this. Very similar vein of tunes (although K is much better, imho).
I agree. Donato Dozzy is a boss. If you haven’t heard his side project ‘Voices from the Lake’ (self titled album made together with Neel in 2012), you must seek it out. One of the best techno ambient electronic genius works you’ll ever hear, forever.
I’ve always been surprised that nodata never posted it given its quality. Voices from the Lake was RA’s album of the year 2012 – http://www.residentadvisor.net/review-view.aspx?id=10529
