Thank you
thanks!! that silence though between track 1 and 2. not ok. but that seems to be on all rips right now.
zzz
this album is…pretty boring. was really looking forward to it. but i guess i’ll go take a nap now. wake me up when things get weird.
I’m with you, poo. Move over, give me some blankets.
So true. We need like sonic guitars and lots of noise and people screaming at the top of their lungs some gibberish. That’s real music.
Couple of morons! If you cannot deal with great music, don’t get even close to it.

I was really looking forward to more stuff like his 2013 singles… This album’s a let down for sure
Beck, do you need a hug?
DIANETICS

wut u think about ma selfie then beck?
Dude never slips. Shit is gorgeous. Been too long.
Excellent fucking album. Not boring at all. Definitely feels like Sea Change 2, which is a stellar album. If you’re a fan of that, you’ll love this
“stellar”
I don’t get it, are you serious? This is the most bland and catastrophically boring shit I’ve heard from him.
another bad try…
Y’all are some dumb 12 year old motherfuckers.
How…?
That How…? Capitol records? %Hell toby or uncle toby.
Thinking towards tanka reverting solor casst. This Adventure!
Excellent melodies as usual. Sparse production. Beck is always on point. Fuck all the haters, no idea what you’re talking about.
Amazing stuff. Look, you can’t have “Debra” silliness all the time, you need to have these to show true emotion and musicianship. This is an amazing album. Amazing.
i kick the dick
1 link left, almost obsolete!
I shut it off after Heart Is A Drum, which sounded like a dorky Wilco song with a bukkake-load of sonic reverb all over it
2
Tut tut… some people just don’t use the ears they were born with…
I was born without ears, you jerk!
WHere are new posts??? ;[
yes, seriously excellent album, delivers on all fronts
beautiful listen, thanks for posting. feels like sea change with added confidence, hope, and pizzazz. apparently beck suffered serious spinal damage and couldn’t pick up his guitar for a few years, and “modern guilt” was mostly whispers through that pain. morning phase is his yawp back to life. not sure about bukkake levels of reverb (it’s a thing some people like; other bands specialize in it, but i don’t think the claim really stands up to this album), but it’s definitely a warm, intimate listen, very suitable for morningtimes. the opening track sounds like a sunrise, and “the heart is a drum” sounds like a reinvention of nick drake’s “one of these things first.” (i’m totally fine with this.)
Definitely, not the groovy side of mr. Hansen.
“Morning Phase” is a nice ear friendly record that wins with a second and third listenings, but maybe a bit monotonous. ‘Morning’ and “Heart is a drum’ are my favs.
I Heart this LP
