this isn’t even out yet…i am the label owner. do you have any idea how hard we work to do this and then there are free downloads up before release date somehow? why? do you have any idea how much money this costs to do?
No Data is the only reason I would have ever even heard of your label or this album. I collect vinyl, and the majority of new vinyl I buy is because I found something on No Data, liked it, and decided I wanted to own the physical copy. So, which one do you make more money off of? The $5 MP3 or the $20 vinyl.
stop this shit it’s 2014 dude
the tracks on bandcamp are excellent
thanks no data for the discovery
well, if its any good i’ll buy a copy.
Right? Like I had no idea who this artist was or that they even existed before seeing this post. And it also reminds me to check out home normal’s bandcamp page and see what else they’ve released because it’s been a while.
Same here.
I’ve heard stuff that I’ve got from nodata, and several times gone on to order the thing itself, so much have I liked it and yes, DO want to support an artist that I would NEVER have otherwise heard of.
Just sayin’ …
Sometimes I think in general people/artists/labels don’t realize how much music exists out there, how many genres sub-genres and experiments are out there and for free not free because of piracy just free as they are published by the artists. Basically if it wasn’t for specialty blogs and specialty collectors most of this music would go unnoticed. So while it is very difficult to make an album, secure funds and publish, it is also very difficult for that music to be heard amongst a huge huge explosion of publications. You gain more hype by blogs than anything else, and then the hype becomes word of mouth. So while you are in the underground you owe these blogs most of your business, and in the underground everyone knows it is art for art’s sake not for money. So I will not be downloading this imprint due to the complaint, and also I will not hear it and share it. And on to the next album, because it is a world of music out there. Understand. . .
faures have 66 listeners according to last.fm so…
This is excellent stuff and I’ll be happy to buy it when it comes out.
