I feel the opposite. Think this is a fantastic Jesu release, especially juxtaposed to the new (also fantastic) Godflesh ‘F.O.D.’ single (flexi disc / Slaughter cover / through Decibel mag). If not for the track ‘The Great Leveller’ alone.
Broadrick him self said in some interview, that this is the biggest album he done yet. Some how I see it but, I don’t feel it when I listen to it. All those riffs repetitions over and over are irritating. I like very very much early Jesu tracks like man/woman. Sill this is better than Ascension. i’m waiting for new Godflesh sooo much ;)
Yes, Ascension was bad. And I don’t feel it either on this one, weak, not as good as early jesu. Brodrick has such talent, where is it? If i pretend this is not jesu, then i can listen to the last track.
