fckkk yeah!
thought exactly the same =)
hope its good…
…thank god, IT IS!!
Amazing.
wow so disappointing. sounds like the formula doesn’t work anymore. too bad :-(
It doesn’t?! For me it totally does! The Field as we love him!
This is so goooood! Axel’s done it again.
Thanks for posting!
wow so satisfying. sounds like the formula still works. so good :)
HOLYSHIET
jesus… 1 minute into it… already better than i expected…
pidgator suck brother…
this is realllly good. formula still works, obv.
re-up PLEASE!
I see, all down, that stupid KOMPAKT FUCKERS!!!!
formula still works
yes what a ‘formula’ this is
Reißbrett-Techno
this is great. yea they still have the same kinda trancey underpinnings. but also new elements seem to be present, reminds me of Panda Bear at points. thaaank you.
Very good!
When I think of “the formula”, I think of the first track off of Looping State of Mind: “This is Power”. …Maybe not for others.
I want the formula of hard hitting soothing quivering joy, but I also want a little “next level”. I feel that track 5 is really meeting me on that criteria.
I would have liked more ass-kicking hypnotic deep bass lines, (as on aforementioned “This is Power”), but hey, lets face it, The Field can still do no wrong.
Hopefully it’s better than the live set he did at Chaos in Tejas in June, because wow, that was putrid.
His live set in Montreal this June at Mutek was also quite a dissappointment. This album, however, especially the middle, is rad.
wha da hell yee all quakin about now, talking about formulas and power, god in hee’s hay. Ye don’t need formulas(by the way the quadratic formula was used here) What ya all need is good shrinker to settle yee asses down about a bit.
The formula is pretty simple, 4 to floor basedrum, some hithats, tiny, little samples from old songs, some drony pads, an idea of reverb, that’s it…but you have to be a genious like the field, to put them together in an translucent, deep, sound, else it whould be boring.
Hope that lights this discussion up. ;)
this is joyous news!
the field + blondes would be a welcome collaboration around my house, is all.
Right? The Feild + Blonds. Make it so!
Actually, I think there was a The Field remix on the Blonds last LP?
aHA, you’re right! blondes remixed “it’s up there”: https://soundcloud.com/blondes/the-field-its-up-there-blondes.
i’d return the favor myself, but my locks are more auburn. and i don’t know how to make badass electronica like deez gaiz.
field non blondes. heh. cute.
OMFG Thank you so much (: you just made me so fucking happy.
Whoever is working for Kompakt done a great job of clearing it off the net. They can come and clean my house anytime.
and yeah The Field – It’s Up There (Blondes Mix) is 4 Я3AL
