This is amazing.
That said, Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo is a respectable debut for an exciting project. While not exactly threatening to overtake Madlib’s Shades Of Blue or Angles Without Edges, which provide the gold standard for hip-hop jazz records, Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo is a relentlessly dignified, understated work that hits its mark more often than it misses.
