This dude be like a judge and shit
He is, it’s true.
…it seems quite unfair that every 10-minutes track based on a single note or chord, or any non-melodic, squirting/blurping/chirping synth improvisation gets the tag “Experimental”, while this truly original-sounding stuff falls under “Electronic” and “House”…
imho, singular musical genres are more or less obsolete at best (and counterintuitive at worst), at least relative to the breadth of music found on this website. but i see your point–if you are insistent on labels in the first place, try to label most appropriately.
I 100% agree with you about genre labels. This said, I find tags somehow useful (at least for spotting what I find UNinteresting for my own personal taste, if not the contrary). I SO agree with you, that I won’t even try and label anything – I just hope that saying that “house” is quite reductive for this release will pehaps bring someone who might actually like it to give it a go.
what do you think about to upload to MEGA .. ?
Thanks! Glass Eights was one of my favs from 2010
thanks! glass eights was one of my favourite releases from 2010
this is definitely not house, but is definitely amazing.
i’ll be the judge of that.
do not approve
don’t get this, it’s pants.
there seem to be actual pants on the album cover.
ACTUAL PANTS.
nah, it’s a shirt or a blazer back from the dry cleaners (or stolen from a German art gallery).. can’t see much from the image, though likely the laundry’s concealing a large pair, or collection of pants within.. The Emperor’s New Clothes springs to mind..
