    His name is d’Eon, isn’t?

The blurb on Soundcloud is sort of creepy. Not a fan of uncritical nationalistic and sentimental art. Especially when it’s composed for a MIDI orchestra. Sigh.

Oh god…please don’t let the music be about anything. How scary! Why can’t music be about something like the idea of patriotism or nationalism? Patriotism is a thing. Nationalism is a thing. You have to look at it to understand it. Look at the fire…not the smoke.

I guess you aren’t an Anglophone living in Quebec. If you were, you’d find the idea of someone making ‘nationalist’ music distasteful. Oh, and let me be clear, apart from the supposed thesis of this thing being dumb, the MIDI gimmick is lame. The composition is passable, however. Too bad about the bullshit window dressing.

          YOU are lame.

faux classicism masquerading as modern classical. With a GM sound palette. Fuck off.
