Everyone tries (in the genre) to sound as good as B.O.C. and Plaid, Tycho, etc., but hardly any do, hardly any do.
Not saying this is it, but its pretty good from what I could glean when opening it up.
    So, heads up.

couldn’t be any more off Tycho and Plaid aren’t that great compared to their predecessors

compared to their predecessors? who exactly do you see as a predecessor to Plaid? and don’t say the Black Dog because it is blatantly obvious that the plaid part of black dog was responsible for most of the rhythm programming. post split black dog is booooooring and simpleminded in comparison.

for some reason i was thinking of Clark when I read Plaid, point still stands about Tycho

Well, I think they all owe a large dose of thanks to the Cabs, EN, Berlin-era Bowie, The Orb, Eno, Kraftwerk and a myriad of others.
    Some interesting ideas here.
Personally I find it strange that no one heard any Autechre?

    Regards
