Well, it does get points for not feeling that they have to “prove they are jaded”, thats not what I mean by church music.
Also, there is sencerity and honest enthusiasim (pardon spelling) in songs. Also a plus.
But without some more diminished chords, ie creative chord changes it seems “too sweet”. You see?
They are good musicians for sure! Better than most on here. But you are right, just not for me.
