Hey! What a welcome surprise for the morning! Something I enjoy! Alt-J’s (or ∆) “Tessellate” is a moody dynamic piece of hip-hop infused chamber pop that’ll make you go “Woop Woop!” in between all the meditations of what the word “tessellate” means. Keeping with the song’s collision of art and hip-hop, the video finds a gaggle of gangsters standing around in a museum, showing off their grills and drinking their forties in a flatly artificial mural. “That vanishing point is dope,” someone may have said while filming this video. Although video and music are pretty incongruous to one another, somehow it all gels together like a Van Gogh or something, especially when that dude mouths the word “Tessellate” and smoke billows out of his mouth—it just sort of works.

a triangle again? must be some deep hipster shit
No witch house. Dude just likes triangles. Remixes are lame. Album is good.
