I’m enjoying this but nothing terribly new. If you like this kind of relaxed chillwave sound and just want to add to your collection I would go for it. It’s not as depressing as what was being produced a couple years ago I would say, so it has that. But it does lack vocals which really tell the great artists apart from those just dabbling in sound.

can i just express how much i loathe the term “chillwave”? i’ve never gotten past my hatred for it.

To put a cap on the subject with with impeccable taste: this is a different and pretty superior take on the tired chillwave genre. The songs are really beautiful and exceed their limitations. A few of these songs were offered as a free download EP last year; I’m glad they were able to get a full release.

Also, I feel really sorry for people that judge music (or books, or film) based on totally superficial aspects. I feel like those people can’t be any older than like, 15, right? Otherwise I feel REALLY bad for how dumb they are.

Pretty good tunes. Chillwave or no wave.
