This isn’t really a review, at least not yet, but I’m just so RAMPED that this has turned up, was not expecting it.

^The crazy guy above is impersonating me.^
This is so juvenile. Is this how you spend your time?
Do you pick a guy from every blog that you have homo-erotic feelings for and impersonate him? wtf?

AAAARGH WHEN PEOPLE RESORT TO HOMOPHOBIA IT MAKES ME SO MADDDD!
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? DON’T LIKE WHAT YOU SAID WHEN HIGH, NOW YOU’RE CREATING SOME IMPERSONATION THING?
ARRGH! THIS IS SICKK! SPLIT PEROSNALITY, U NEED TO STOP WITH THE DRUGS. URRGH!

SO excited for this… Oh man, looks to be in good quality as well. From the singles I’ve heard this will be amazing. Looking forward to this one more than anything else in 2012. Downloading now.

once upon a time i was obsessive about spiritualized. that was like, back in the mid nineties. then i realized that jason is a one trick pony. he has spent decades singing about how sick he is inside and how he needs drugs and how sad life is, etc.
considering how much money he has pulled in over those years, one would have hoped that at some point he would have seen a therapist, but obviously not.
so, why would i listen to someone who has not matured at all as a human being over the course of the last 20 years and uses pain suffering and disfunction to cover up the fact that he is actually seriously short on creativity? note: i’ll worship lazer guided melodies til the day i die, but everything after has become so boring and predictable to me. it ‘ssimply pretentious and meaningless music which pretends to be deep.

      tl;dr

        Sadly,’tis true.
I’m so glad that I took the opportunity to listen to the album before I shelled out on it as it doesn’t seem to have moved on from A+E at all in terms of the overall sound or indeed the themes explored. Shame.

Lol you really think he makes a lot of money? Especially since the dawn of the internet blogs and forums that put his album out for free? Get real.

Meh – same old Spiritualized… not impressed

  8. haircut April 11, 2012

    i don’t know, i’m really enjoying it

    • Rick April 18, 2012

I think I’m enjoying it the more I listen to it. And the professional critics seem to like it (you know, people who give me more than “meh, it sucks” or “meh, it’s alright”).

Same old. Why rehash the same formula over again, tens years on? I want artists to evolve, change, and to challenge the limits.
    JMHO
