man, that girl is cute.
That girl, to my knowledge, is Criss. She is Brok Van Wey’s new young bride. And she features heavily on this album vocal wise.
Now, I don’t say this lightly: but to really understand bvdub one needs something along the lines of Lysergic-Acid-Dyeithelmien or Pscilocibin.
His music is STRUCTURED THOUGHTFULLY (and with the “master stroke” so painfully missing from most music) for that “near -death” state of mind. I say this after 20 years of Audiomancy. (I am 38). If you remain still on a window-pain & play anything by bvdub from 2009 onwards, a WORTHY stargate will open.
Also, he is the ONLY artist I take pains to buy. ;)
maybe in another twenty years you’ll be capable of writing a comment in a way that doesn’t make you appear an absolute ass-clown. really, the only artist you take pains to buy? of all the good music out, this is the ultimate? ‘stargate’? ‘structured thoughtfully’? sad old man. btw, window-pain is neither cool nor funny. AND QUIT WITH THE CAPITALIZATION.
wow, this comment makes me want to scratch my eyes out, or at least burn the memory of it out of my brain. perhaps nodata should disable comments.
Thanks morton,
I too felt a little sick reading the reply from that guy: to be called those things simply because I had a series of un-rivaled trips with bvdub. (I still stand by what I said, & encourage anyone to try it for themselves).
But we all know the dangers of pouring your heat out on the internet, even I can fall prey to the Snarky Spirit that seems to be Enthroned in chat rooms.
But, I had to with this one, including revealing my age, to emphasize that my opinion: that he is the Motzart of our time, brilliant and un-recognized, is not said lightly.
i think the fella, morton was talking about your comment, but never mind.
‘even i’ – is this guy for real? what a twat!
Kinda strange, I’ve been listening to One Last Look at the Sea all day, then I check nodata and… bvdub.
BVW just pumps it out -good stuff though. Great for writing.
Thanks nodata.
quick everyone download it, there is a semi-attractive woman on the cover.
gunna smoke a bowl, pass out and dream about my favorite aunt’s tittays to dis wun.
reminds me of William Basinski. Thanks for the upload!
Sad, how such good music generates these sort of comments.
WindowPANE!!
1. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for using Mediafire! I know they’ve begun locking accounts of egregious “repeat uploaders” so I understand that MF isn’t always the best choice, but from the user’s end, man…no download limit, (usually) fast speeds, no waiting 45 seconds to input captcha to wait another 1 minute and 30 seconds. Nope, just the DL link. The internet has spoiled us, but MF does it right.
2. Jesus christ bvdub is like the Burger King of ambient dub techno. Not ever the best, really, but absolutely ubiquitous and you’re guaranteed SOMETHING tasty no matter what
3. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
True that. He has been on the dub/tech scene since 1996!
However, something changed him in mid 2009, & from that point forward it all shifted out of recognizable dub, except for “ASC & Bvdub”, “One last look…”, & “Return to Tongulu”.
If you are blown away by this then I recommend starting with “The Art of Dying Alone” and just going forward. ;)
