this is a great, great, great album. if you like music you will like this album
I don’t know if I’d give it three “greats” but it is good.
now this is really something. better than that trash with 50 comments. music for intelligent people. thank you nodata.
man was i wrong, this is terrible, i hate, i hate myself now. why am i so stupid
I knew you’d come around!
you pretentious shit. “music for intelligent people”??? pull your head out of your arse you fucking wanker and stop being such a prick. it’s music for whomever likes it, regardless of intelligence. twat!
You’re not from Britain by chance? You’re language is crazy ambivalent.
Dammit! “You’re/your”. Anyhow, my cat can eat a whole watermelon.
Luckily I downloaded this before the previous 2 months posts were removed. I’d never heard of him before so I was really grateful for the introduction on nodata because I liked it so much that I downloaded all his previous EP’s & remixes, each one being an absolute gem.
This is his debut album & it’s phenomenal. Truly something original & full of genius. Def going on my shortlist of personal favourite albums of 2012 so far.
To mark the release of ƒIN he’s just done an awesome mix for FACT magazine. Download it here –
http://www.factmag.com/2012/02/06/fact-mix-315-john-talabot/
Don’t forget the equally good mix he did for XLR8R!

Thanks for the heads up/reminder! FACT has a free John Talabot mix as well if’n you’re game.
Thanks for the heads up! Just so you know, xlr8r has a free John Talabot mix as well if you’re interested. No need to say thanks. You’re welcome!
All kidding aside, Nodata deserves avalanches of praise. And wet sloppy BJs.
ya nodata!!!
mohammed wishes he was as good as nodata
I’m glad it was re-posted fa sure.
mmm…
nothing special for me. 2 or 3 tracks are ok, rest is bad.
but then you probably liked the nite jewel lp
stfu & gtfo.
No one says no to Rocco Siffredi.
When I clicked on this game, the sun is just starting up, and I remember when I first drank mama’s milk
but mama’s milk was too dry, so i licked on your wounds
?
I love that joke!
looks like we’re dealing with people who have no grasp of the english language. once again our education system offers up an epic FAIL
You choose the meme “epic fail” to assert this lament?
Ha, no doubt.
It’s actually good, but SO cool that it ends up sounding cold to my ears.
And most tracks seem to describe feelings without conveying any.
Still, I’ll give it a few more listens and see if it grows on me…
Oh, and: thank you, nodata!
I’d say that’s astute, and points to a serious problem in a lot of new electronic music, not that I haven’t been rolling like a pig in fresh shit in a great deal of it. Anyone want to weigh in?
Dunno if anything can top Boards of Canada – Geogaddi for electronic feelings. & that’s from 2002.
Yeah, both Music Has The Right to Children and Hi Scores top it easily.
electonic music? BoC? perleeeease!!! (not sure if this will work, base god don’t fail me now…activate EMBED URL) Go Pikachu…
I watched the painful video on your link: I don’t get it. So what?
Geogaddi just might be my favorite record ever.
my cool sister pitchfork said this is good. so it must be.
Don’t be mean to Pitchfork they are very sensitive!
i’m guessing you’re the local funny boy? penes?
is FAIL your nickname?
dawson?
mother?
My God! It’s full of stars!
So far so good…but I’m not swept off my feet.
theres alot of great tracks on here… last land and the final track are my favs
I my insides are within you love.
That’s the best comment ever. No shit.
commenting on your own comment with a different name isn’t cool
Sure. Whatever you say, sir.
What do you mean?
That’s so existential it made my hurt hurt.
Check out these remixes by John Talabot that I’ve collected. The one for Teengirl Fantasy is fuckin incredible…

du mener, når jeg lytter til dette det er meningen at sætte min ryg ud? crazy shit! Jeg elsker dette som første gang jeg onanerede uden publikum.
if it doesn’t make you laugh go fuck yourself (go raichu)
Hearing the words, “electronic music”, may invoke the thought of a time period that goes no further back than the early 90’s. The truth is that electronic music started as distant as the early 1900’s. For example: In the year 1928, an instrument named the Ondes Martenot was first presented in use. This instrument was invented by Maurice Martenot, a Cellist and radio Telegraphist from France. The Ondes Martenot is, fundamentally, the first electronic keyboard. This instrument was first played with a ring around the finger attatched to strings manipulated by the performer. I believe Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood often uses one. About ten years later, the set-up became very similar to the one known today, using a keyboard strip to be stroked by the fingers. The modern style Ondes Martenot, called the electronic keyboard, is still an instrument used in electronic music today. The most popular form of electronic music today is called Techno music. Techno music was founded in the mid 1980’s by a group of three negro men attending community college.
And now this, not even sure what to call it; he looks riDICKulous. Anyone seen his pictures with the foil?
It seems you feel that 3 black men in community college were unworthy of contributing anything to electronic music, let alone defining a whole genre of it? Maybe if they’d all been doing a PHD in nuclear physics at Yale they’d have more credentials in your opinion?
Well I was lucky enough to see Kevin Saunderson (one of these 3), play for 2 glorious hours late last year in Johannesburg. Unfortunately he didn’t sport an Ondes Martenot around any of his digits, but he did stroke a set of turntables & CDJ’s to total perfection – & to put it mildly, he absolutely destroyed that dancefloor, burnt those speakers to the ground & sowed such fine happiness amongst the people there that night.
The reason 3 men in community college invented techno in the mid 80’s was largely due to their geographical location. Detroit. Possibly the most industrial & noisy city in America (if not the world at that time). It was a natural reaction to their unnatural surroundings; they just mimicked this situation as best they could into audio artistry & defined a new musical movement in the process.
Also, if you’re so concerned about John Talabot wrapping foil around his face then you’ll be relieved to see him here – http://www.xlr8r.com/features/2011/11/five-minutes-john-talabot-rbma – in the flesh & foil free. Personally I don’t have a problem with someone hiding their face – what I do have a problem with is someone flaunting it at every opportunity.
Interesting post, thanks. But I think you may have just responded to a copy/paste? Either way thanks for the info :)

Edited by whoisitwho: Nice try.
Really though, I’m seriously sick of cleaning up your dirty socks and scrubbing cheeto stains off the cats and the doilies. GROW UP FUCKERS!
My goodness how ungracious of you! Shall I challenge you to a duel?
i wonder what prompted the nodata censorship.
