this… was definitely not the same asura that i was thinking of.
Right? I was looking at the cover and thinking, “that’s a step down from the lush and diverse art that accompanied their last album, [360]. There’s just no way. Then again, it does have the dual black bars, “widescreen”, on the cover, and it’s in the same genre… At the very least it looks like a real rush job from these masters of over-produced, deep-tech, highly stylized, delightfully cliched scandinavian bad-boys, no good boys.
it’s the same Asura. this is a collection of extended, unreleased and released tracks on altar-records, not ultimae (hence the different cover style).
and btw he’s from france. last time i checked, france wasn’t part of scandanavia :P
