zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz when is going Burial to evolve? bo bo bo bo bo bo bo bo boriiiing!!!!!!!!!! :)
I’m impressed that a retarded 5th grader figured out how to post a comment
Don’t cry my man! Burial is boring yet for a lot of people! Peace!
boring enough to comment on? (several times over?)
boring
yet you keep coming back for more. trolling nodata?! get a life pete
You only stop to the first listen, all you see is that is “boring”, but when you look deeper, you realize that it’s not a question of how the beat sounds, of how much it makes you wanna dance. It’s a question of talent, he’s the only one to push the dubstep this far into experimentalism without failing like James Blake.
dubstep? experimentalism? ok.
You’re obviously a god damned idiot who has no idea where Dubstep comes from, or has only listened to brostep and other shitty genres that are mistakenly called ‘dubstep’. It has always been a genre of experimentation, from it’s roots as dub remixes of 2-step tracks in the 90’s, to it’s resurgence ~2006.
Step the fuck off son, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, it would make you look a lot less idiotic.
i know burial better than you crying baby
james blake is “failing”? lol..
James Blake released something that didn’t get Best New Music on Pitchfork, so he is now officially failing, duh.
James blake has one good song and it’s a cover. Autotune is the coolest man!!!
For someone who created such a distinct sound (and almost singlehandedly the entire post-dubstep movement) with such a limited set of tools, evolving without moving away from what fans recognize as THE Burial sound, can be difficult. He’s more of a sketch artist than a producer.
After listening to Untrue I dismissed Burial off as another fluke; I honestly didn’t like that album. I just thought he was trying too hard. Didn’t even bother listening to Street Halo untill couple of months ago. And I swear I had that EP on repeat for an entire day. Now I’m really excited for another Burial album, hopefully soon!
I wouldn’t hold your breath.
He’s stuck in a bad place, imo, and sadly hasn’t progressed or changed his sound in the slightest since Untrue, and I would argue he’s using the same samples over and over. Not to discredit him in the slightest, Untrue is one of my favorite albums of all time, and I love Street Halo just as much. It’s just a matter of releasing a whole album that, at this point, and considering everything he has released since, would sound the same as Untrue.
zzz
Burial doesn’t need to evolve… He’s already on the next level. In-fact there’s a missing link between humans and Burial.
what are you talking about? I’m embarrassed because of you
i totally agree with mikopete… cmon – same sounds, same style, same hype for last 6 years! time for big change!
Beautiful sound doesnt need to change. And since when has Burial been in it for the hype?
It sounds too much massive attack and not enough burial to me. Still a good listen though.
oh wow. this is actually coming out.
Fuck the hype this is now….I really wish that chick w/ the lip job, Lana Del Lynch, sounded like this.
Burial is not human.
Anyone who doesn’t like Untrue should still give Street Dog !2” and the Thom Yorke/Burial/Four Tet split a listen… might just change your mind
THIS IS RAD BUT IM GREEDY. THE RUMORS WERE THAT BURIAL WAS REMIXING THE *ENTIRE* HELIGOLAND ALBUM, LIKE JAMIE XX’S REMIX OF GIL SCOTT …
If you don’t love this track then you are just bad at music… Burial is so fucking good and this is no exception. Reading that you didn’t like Untrue and that it “tries to hard” has to be the laugh of the day. Go listen to your bs and leave the true musicphiles to love us some Burial/Yagya/Trentemoller/Etc… Aka some of the only music left with true soul.
All that talk and not a single comment on whether it’s legit/320/transcode/anywhere near decent quality
ya i thought this was coming in a minute. and i suggest stop looking at the artists and listen to the music. if you like it you like it if you dont you dont. enjoy… or not
Where’s the b-side?
The Filesonic one has about 1 and a half mins trimmed off, it should last 11:58 thereabouts.
seriously, can everyone get off their elitist music listening high horses already? fuckin dig it or don’t. if you don’t, go download one of the thousands of other albums posted on this blog. and if you DO, leave it at that, don’t try making a point out of how you’re music taste means you are a “true music appreciator”. stupid pitchfork generation….
Its a rip from the Pitchfork site and no b side
Oh, was gonna buy this but it’s sold out. No surprise. Does anyone have the b side? IE the full record? thanks.
But i confirm the filesonic file is truncated.
