“Did I pencil D instead of a Bb?”
“No sir.”
“Then, why did you play a D?”
“I made a mistake, Duke.”
“You made a mistake?”
“Yes.”
“I don’t like mistakes.”
“No sir, it won’t happen again.”
“No it won’t.”

Duke walked back to the front.

“Okay, Charles, take four, from the second ending,” Duke sang.
