On a peripherally related note, about DJ Mehdi’s death:
France’s minister of culture, Frédéric Mitterrand, released a statement yesterday calling DJ Mehdi “one of the most dynamic and inspired artistes of the young hip-hop and electro French scene” and continued “a turntable magician, but also an audacious producer, a virtuoso of mixing completely different musical genres, Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, this artist of Tunisian decent, born in rap, always warm and discrete, knew how to resound French styled electronic music across the world.”

when is Justice new album “We Surrender” coming out???

I know what they’re going for with this record. But I can’t say I’m all that excited so far. This is totally inspired by the sounds on their rejected Fabric mix. Which is a really awesome mixtape. But I really can’t get into this.

† was an awesome album, and the live album was even better. But im really not digging this new stuff.

But then again, the singles off † were not the best on the album, so im still looking forward to giving it a go.
