Pretty Ugly?

Great EP – Goldfrapp-esque. Interesting without Beck production.

I felt the Goldfrapp-iness, too, but it isn’t even close to Goldfrapp at their worst. Feels contrived. Then the second single is all twee folky. They don’t sit well together.

^^^ hence they were included as an EP and not in the LP
in recent interviews she has said this is a more experimental work than her previous, so should be interesting to see how the whole new record sounds
can’t expect an artist to remake the same song all the time

if you don’t like how an artist evolves, stop listening/watching. she’s found her sound, and now it’s time to experiment; congrats to her.
