Downloaded, listened, deleted. Lame. Sorry.
Gracie was released in June.
From the Institute of Criminally Bad Music?
I don’t know and more importantly I don’t care. My comment was directed at the comments above that suggested that the Gracie cover was lifted from the design of the Weeknd mix tape.
The fact that she released it in June is irrelevant. The layout practically mirrors that of the “House Of Balloons” design, which was released in March.
Well as an individual who has turned in artwork to the now defunct Touch and Go label 3 times and saw 2 almost identical covers come out within a month of my submitted artwork I believe it’s less likely than you think.
Coincidence is likely but plagiarism is the MOST likely explanation.
