yo la tengo and the dead never felt the need to take off their shirts (except for that show at maxwells where georgia got kinda wild).

Uh.. this album is very unnecessary.

you guys are all musical clowns… this collection IS essential as it shows a band that has been around over 20 years… still relevant, still consistently putting out great lps. its true NO DATA is great for hipster ish and whats hot in Brooklyn, but to knock this band down is sorta musical ignorance.

RHCP were solid up through and including Californication (actually, the title track is debatable) but even Frusciante wasn’t enough to save them going forward. They’ve become a pale shadow of who they once were but to ignore the relevance of their early output is just idiotic. Oh, and the Grateful Dead sucks.
