You will be the first to shit on the new Horrors record, so YOU will die in fire (with trumpets, marimbas and accordions…)

It’s not that exciting is it? It sounds a bit boring to be honest.
Most boring comment of the day. Please stop it.
Most F**k you comment of the century
Gracias
THANKS!!
I would love to send this record back in time to the 1930s for some kid to find and blow his mind with how music sounds in the year 2011.
I’ve been listening to Beirut since 06′, from lose weight, all the way through. Until today I can’t believe the treat of hearing something two months ahead of when I should. And i will be buying this album certainly.
The term well textured is over used but so true here, there are hundreds of ideas slotted beneath the creases in time so correctly and uniquely. Each track sounds different to the last and has immense thought poured all through its tangled lines. Little picking noises reminescent of 80’s synth pop abound tracks the are so hybrdized with doo wop, chanson, pop, folk etc it ultimately ends up beinging galvanised in the beirut sound, a sound like no other band in history. This is a big step foward for music in general and any musician around the world is going to take from this somehow.
agreed, this is a solid release
really diggin Vagabond
I’m happy that we will never all agree on liking the same album, but its time to KILL the comments section & just put a “like” button as many other DL sites have done. Smart comments used to help me decide, these days juvenile comments just waste our valuable time…
