The universe is expanding. Imagine a balloon with galaxies or solar systems. As the balloon inflates, the galaxies move further apart. So what is the universe expanding into? The answer is nothingness. Therefore new space is constantly being created from nothing and from what Physicist are telling us, this process of new space being created will continue ad infinitum.
