BORING! They use the same formula again and again, even on the previous album: Take a simple melody and add more and more layers over it. As simple as that. The result is kinda cool, yeah, but once you notice that they use the same forumla over and over, it gets boring. Very disappointed, was expecting more.
The repetitive nature of most Techno, Drone, Ambient, and Electronica is pretty much the song structure. So to complain about repeated melody lines with harmonic layers is equal to complaint that baseball uses a round ball. The human brain settles in on repetition and the body should relax with this melody being introduced over and over again, never dividing song structure into different pathways. That is pretty much the name of the game. Take me out to the ballpark.
