Track 11 is a cover of an old Doris Day song
Ole Doris Day, she must have had an affinity for mathematical set theory and coding arrangements. Smart gal.
Track number 5, by ADR, is an true achievement. Taking the best of marvels like Tim Hecker, Brok Van Wey, and Machinefabrick, ADR launches a sound that demands the well attuned ear, and perhaps the augmentation of THC to bring that ear to heel, because that is the sweet spot you will want to find. I promise you that! In your lawn chair, on your headphone commute, take a moment to soak it in.
oh do fuck off
is this label still cool in 2017?
it depends on the music itself, not media perception.
This very succinct statement opens a wide proposition: is perhaps not all (including media) subjective perception? Is there a universal method of measuring music and arts (and anything for that matter) that could be applied and which could truly determine the value of, in this case, this ambient compilation CD? Food for thought, my acolytes, food for thought.
as marshall mcluhan would say, the perception message is the music
