This album is so DAMN good it’s not even funny. I’ll have this on repeat for a while, a long long while. I’ll also be supporting the artist by buying the disc, going to the concert, and buying their merchandise.

    GO TEXAS!!!

Awesome. I agree, Nodata is invaluable, but helping the artist out is extremely important too. Go to their shows, buy some shit and contribute to them. Smaller artists deserve exchange for their hard work.

This is absolutely brilliant! Although 192 Kbps doesn’t do them justice. Can’t wait for an uncompressed release.

yawn fest. so disappointed. their strength was in their song-writing and this is a bunch of meandering nostalgia. doesn’t take away from the work they’ve done, but so incredibly sub par.

Trembling Hands was a little disappointing, but the rest of the album is solid. Postcard from 1952 is particularly wonderful.

Explosions in the Sky is a group that has managed to make the same record every 4 years…

    no progression.

Meandering with high notes or an ebow on occasion, similar to How Strange, Innocence, is not “genius” in the least bit.

These guys rarely practice their instruments and manage to make money off boring records, All of a Sudden was the first nail in the coffin and this one will definitely not be loved by most reviewers.

Don’t get me wrong, how strange/those who tell were amazing and they lit up live during those days. Today they just kind of walk out, hit a couple of wrong notes on occasion or do their cheesy choreographed sway on memorial (typically open on greet death but that’s changed lately) and meander around.

I mean Christ, most of the songs are just their formula…mellow strumming, lots of delay and the high note crescendo to climax.

Mono and EITS should call it quits and let Mogwai retain instrumental music’s good name.
