I am still confused. If there are two sides, what determines which side will be A and which side will be B. It is a toss of the coin? Why not label neither side and let the listener have a go at it with a fifty percent chance of playing the same side over again once the LP is removed from it’s sleeve which will open up the possibility that ‘the other side’ will never be heard?

“side b”
Yeah, because it was released on vinyl, and vinyl has two sides. Get it?
