The bellicose rhetoric coming fromThomas Köner and his warped Futurist Manifesto are not only cause for concern, but his demented view of what lies ahead for civilization makes one long for the passing minutes that crawl along the treacherous path of the unseen, the unknown, and unpredictable.
I will have to hear this then. I don’t know whether Thomas Köner literally quotes from the original Futuristic Manifesto written by Filippo Tomasso Marinetto in 1908. A lot of the violent changes he advocated had more to do with what he felt was the state of Italian culture and mindset compared to some other, more “dynamic” places in Europe,(than with the fascistic attributions and leanings hat were later dismissed.
Thank you LA for making clear the history of the original Futuristic Manifesto written by Filippo Tomasso Mrinetto in 1908. The Founding and Manifesto of Futurism, Marinetti declared that “Art, in fact, can be nothing but violence, cruelty, and injustice.” George Sorel, who influenced the entire political spectrum from anarchism to Fascism, also argued for the importance of violence. Futurism had both anarchist and Fascist elements; Marinetti later became an active supporter of Benito Mussolini.
This is an audio-visual piece. Köhner works on the creation and organization of sounds as well as the choice and editing of images (vintage snippets) to make his point. Thx nodata!
So he designed the sound based on emotion released by these particular images, or more he made the sound then added some images, like a boobtube video? I’m intrigued
Nearly everything thing this guy has done is quality, thanks No data. How long has this blog been around now 10 years? Major respect to the person/ people involved, a heart thank you!
