In the year 2015, Archy Marshall created A New Place 2 Drown. A tree in the park where he used to take daily walks suddenly had developed a small fence around it with a place for people to sit and watch all activity that took place in that park, which by all understanding wasn’t much, an occasional jogger with a pot belly, some crazy kids playing with firecrackers, and of course old Archy Marshall. One day in the season of Autumn, fatigued from his walk, Archy sat down near the solitary tree with the tiny fence that was mysteriously constructed by an unknown carpenter (Archy suspected his crazy neighbor old Schyman-a gun nut with an insatiable appetite for collecting large sheets of plywood, oak, nails, and then hammering all day long) of constructing the odd addition to the tree’s immediate presence. It was here where Arcy fell into a mid-afternoon dream about a place far away, Plane L, where there was no gun violence and no hatred. He never woke up from that dream. Archie had found his new place to die.
