The green vest sweater is a nice Icelandic touch, but it is the blue button down collar shirt that set the whole thing off. Look at his eyes.
While I can ignore the vest, I can’t say the same about his rotundness. It exudes contentment and a false sense of over-fed “comfort”. If thrown in jail, he would be somebody’s bitch quick.
Know exactly what you mean ole Di Biasio. Rotund or not, there is a false sense of well being about him, the kind that only middle aged men have after they have lured your twenty year old girlfriend away from you with their snide boy/man charm and six figure bank account. Besides, the bow tie sucks.
Everyone can rest assured, Michelle, that Mr. Grant most definitely won’t be lusting after any twenty year old girls. They’re quite safe :)
i love john grant. thanks
Watta ’bout the music ?
it’s very different from his last album, i’ll need to play it a few times before deciding…
WHEN U NUT BUT SHE KEEP SUCKIN
I’ve played this three times now, it’s fantastic and gets better with every listen. Easily as good as his first two solo offerings.
(As always) caustic lyrics with laced with deadpan irony. One of the best albums of the year for me. Without a doubt.
