Techno is SO edm tier right now.
All the bro tier fests: techno, all the recent boiler rooms: techno
techno techno and modular synths memes
…Is that a problem?
/mu/ got tired of /mu/ so now they do this on nodata
…Thank you for your contribution to this dialogue. Your insight has been valuable and much appreciated. The only mu I’m familiar with ends in -Ziq so I don’t know what you’re referring to. But more to the original point, OP, is this really a problem? Is it really an issue that quality electronic music is popular? Or is your special snowflake syndrome causing you to lash out because you, of refined taste and superior intellect, must now share a tier with—GASP!—Bros?!?! Judging a genre based on the culture that embraces it strikes me as silly, juvenile, insecure, and rather dickish. The music is still good so I have no qualms about its popularity. And besides, you’re massively exaggerating. Dickblo and Cockvein Hairass still dominate mainstream outlets, not Drexciya or Domenico Crisci. Let me know when Ancient Methods headlines EDC. That would be pretty cool.
“yeah, I’m an idm guy myself: aphex twins, venetian snares, the list could go on”
i wish techno would take over edm and bros got into it but thats not happening
Y’all need to stop fussing and trust that Boomkat isht! Rarely have I ever checked a 14 Tracks that was wack.
neat techno tape ^^
