This rooster crows at the break of dawn, only to face a day of uncertainty, perched on a rickety fence down in Old Bama. The neighbor’s pit bull lurches forward and snaps it’s jaws only to have the chain that it is tied to snap it’s neck back. The rooster crows once more then hops down to safety, a twelve by thirteen dirt yard littered with pellets and pig shit.
