Hi guys. Asthmatic Kitty Records here.
If you like this record like we do, then feel free to support it by purchasing it from a record store or iTunes or Bandcamp or AKR:
http://www.carrieandlowell.com/preorder
If you like it but don’t have the cash, you can help us out by sharing the music with a friend.
Either way thanks for listening! – AKR
THANK YOU
THAT’S HOW IT’S DONE! Cool move!
How nice. Will defos be paying for this now. Thank you
That’s a good response to a leak. I’ll buy it.
Perfect response! Asthmatic Kitty rules!
I bought tickets to the show already, just hyped to be able to rock these tunes… thanks for the awesome response Asthmatic Kitty! Will be buying as a result.
Respect
It’s not about the money, it’s about the wait. How are you going to ask people NOT to download music when it’s available and free, and ask they instead wait and pay? I can’t even preview the full album in iTunes. I don’t get how record companies haven’t figured this out yet.
That said, I’ll wait and pay for art because I can’t live without it. This is how I’ll separate myself from animals like McDonald’s, for most recent, obnoxious example, who put on showcases to sell burgers and relevancy at SXSW but refuse to pay bands.
But you guys make it hard on the artists and the fans. If the album leaks, sell the album. Make it happen.
As for the concept of an album, I’m totally fine how they handle it. Good things take time, dude. ;)
OH MAN, Ben Howards, José González, Damien Rice, now Sufjan Steven….good times for folk lovers! =))
Great lineup, but Kashmir, you forgot Mark Rogers & Mary Byrne’s new release, “I line my days along your weight” as well as Mount Air, “The Unthanks”. Also Mount Eerie’s new release “Sauna”. 2015 is a terrific year for Ambient Folk or Alternative Folk,
sorry i dont listen to christian rock crap
BOOM! This guy is on fire! Feel the heat, Sufjan. Kemit is out for blood.
Nice to hear Sufjan go back to his folk roots. Beautiful album!! I’ll buy it from iTunes.
thank you ND
Thank you! I have it pre-ordered (twice, limited and normal edition), but the suspense is killing me! Thanks for being cool :)
Something seems terribly wrong when Devandra Banhart’s boring christian counterpart meets with more approval than MM.
not terribly wrong. terribly right.
Thou hast conquered, O pale Galilean; the world has grown grey from thy breath
I’m on listening to this because Jesus Wept.
Thou hast conquered, O pale Galilean; the world has grown grey from thy breath!
I don’t believe in god, but I believe in Sufjan Stevens.
i’ll tattoo this on my chest. you better wait
Ah, Harvey Dent could kick Sufjan’s ass.
