Ultimate reward to my day as well. Had to get up a 5AM to drive through the Sierra Nevada mountains during a ridiculous rain/snow storm, kept telling myself “if I survive this shit, the rest of the day will be gravy”. Cant wait for this.

The album he did with Loscil is the most psychedelic album I have ever heard. But his last 4 solo albums have been sub-par. Recently, he’s had Burial-eaque sound. I hope that stops soon. I hope that stops NOW, with this Lp!
By the way, this album is about DEAth. But not the death of his cat, rather it is an emotional expose’ on the death of his best friend.
And, sadly, that gives me hope: maybe the ‘funky town’ vocals he has become enamored with of late will be insufficient. Lets hope!

BTW if anyone wants to listen to some really good bvdub “i never cried a tear” and “no turning back” are both two great old eps of his that are not pure ambient, not really into any of his stuff after those releases tbh but those sure are woth checking out!
