thanks!
Maybe my favourite record of the year. This is so so so beautiful. Thank you for sharing x
best year for music this year
Its on Kranky. They will take it down soon, so grab it while you can.
perfect
really cheezy…
some folks like that though, it’s all good
tool
that’s enough, pepe
you’ve rained on far too many parades, nOT THIS ONE OK
Kranky never fails.
This Liz Harris gets very sensitive and emotional here. Worth the listen
Lots of piano, not as many deep textures, good vocal harmonies, seems a bit simpler, or more focused then her previous work. It’s sounding good so far, but can say that I am missing the guitar/drone-noise aspect of Grouper.
Still definitely sounds/feels like her, so I’m going to keep an open mind about this and try to let this album and her intention soak in.
I think that after all of the noise, pain, dissolving, and droning of her previous albums, Ruins might show what is left of Liz at the core- still water and beauty in simple clarity.
nicest thing i’ve ever read on this site not that that is saying much
i agree! yet somehow i still dont give a fuck about your pretentious need to tell us all what you think/feel. got to run. some yellow swans to catch and i got a valet show to check out…
It was nice to hear someone’s opinion on this, but your comment is unnecessary and rude. Thanks for posting!
@cat Please do let us know if you ever find out what is left of Liz at the core.
Like any good club worth being in I hope to be insulted by the bouncers then the bar staff. Please weep in private you inspid fools.
