Cool! Best post in the year! :)
I concur
Doubly concur
Triple concour
quadruple-ie concur
And this right here is why I fuckin’ love this blog.
Two requests, if I may be so obnoxious:
Mirror to Mirror – Here You Leave Today
and
Imaginary Softwoods – Path of Spectrolite
Anyway, thanks for doing what you do and keep up the gr8 work!
I have been waiting a long time for this!
HOLYYYY ZOMBIE JESUS
Really? “Best post in the year”? It’s generic chill-electro! How is this touching your soul, rocking your world, inspiring wonderment?
Maybe if I didn’t already have Boards of Canada, I’d find this really interesting. But seriously, this is nothing new.
End you can shut the fuck up and get the fuck out, I have been waiting for this album for YEARS.
stop tollin’ whoever you are. no real Tycho lover would speak this way.
this is it right here, niggas.
The only thing this album shares with Boards of Canada is slightly lo-fi synths. But this sounds more polished than any BOC project. Fuck the naysayers, this sounds great.
Haters gonna hate…
My only guff with this breautiful record is the lack of truly new material.
3 out of the 10 songs were released previously on EP’s and singles.
Still… masterfully done.
REALLY!? I have been waiting for just the right moment to unzip this. I already own EVERYTHING else. ..oh wait, you said 3 out of 10? Thought you said 10 out of 3. 7 songs will stay my hand.
Why crack on somebody’s excitement?
If it’s not your post of the year, keep your mouth shut, and fingers off the keyboard.
yes dad, sorry dad. please don’t call the fun police again dad.
BTW, I used to think that this guy sounded like boards of canada… and then I really listened to him. Tycho, yes. Boards of Canada, yes. Same? no.
Whatever, what counts at the end of the day are those Great Songs and Tycho sure knows how to pull them off.
Tycho is one of the greats. Love it. “End” has no clue, yeah BOC is like Tycho? You are simple.
YEAH FINALLY! Tycho is & will be counted amongst the finest electronic music producers in my opinion. His sound is always laced with nostalgia & distant memories like BoC (possibly my favourite band), but they’re def not the same.
I’ve been looking fwd to this album all year. Honestly, my most anticipated listen for 2011. Absolutely fucking fantastic sunday surprise – let the good times roll.
Nodata no doubt the best music blog ever. Thankings for keeping my brain happy with new music everyday.
Getting this on vinyl fo sho, read more about this album & Scott Hansen here – http://ghostly.com/releases/dive
Thanks for the link, I would recomend ISO50, IT IS A VISUAL ART COUNTERPOINT TO TYCHO.
I love how the BOC fans are so far in de nile “ooohhh, no it doesn’t sound like them, he’s got his own style” fuck right fucking off!! all of his stuff, especially the early music sounds like he took Music Has The Right… and shoved it in a photocopier. You fucking knobhounds. This dude has made a mildly successful career from studying BOC. Accept it and embrace the fact and you won’t all sound like pompous dick heads. As for this LP, Meh, I’d rather the long wait until WARP release the new Boards LP.
dick
prick
phil, the best part of you ran down yer mums leg, now fuck off you hippy student fucking freeloading downloading poncing twat.
I hope you burn in a car fire and a mob of dehydrated tramps piss on you but you still die anyway.
if i could i’d like to fucking reach in through your fucking screen and gouge your eyeballs out then skewer them on satay sticks and make you eat them you little wanker.
Jake your a little cunt who hides behind mummy’s PC screen.
you are all lesbians
ethereal warbles of psychophonic vitality.
That’s awesome
B…………………….O……………………..C
I FUCKED YOU YESTERDAY. OH, YOU WERE SO SWEET , ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU SUCKED MY DICK, MY BOY!!!
all this bitching and not even a single re-up.. wtf?
yea, look at this. pathetic.
i think it’s great here, best laugh I’ve had in a long time, whoever that fuck off character is deserves a medal for lighting the blue touchpaper.
this is a fucking music blog not facebook.
somebody re-up the shit.
fuck.
Adrift is nice – the rest is silly pap.
would you please re up this one?
Pete, stop trolling like a four year old. If you want attention go jump out of a window.
As for the Tycho up, thanks nodata!
Honestly kids, while there may have been some similarities to BoC in the “Past Is Prologue” Era, you cannot listen to the new album and say it sounds anything like a BoC record. Yes, it’s electronic and dreamy sounding, but the production is top notch and sounds so clean. I like BoC too, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate this beautiful record. Scott has taken a huge leap forward with this new album and I am incredibly excited about purchasing this one on vinyl.
To any of the BoC comparers here:
What. the. fuck.
I would never trust your judgement on anything! not even grabbing me a water from the corner store, you blind deaf fucks.
honestly.
LISTEN TO THE DAMN RECORD!
BoC is dark as shit, if you haven’t figured that out yet then just go listen to some fuckin pop music, you’re boring the hell out of us
clueless!!!!!!
Why are there soo many stupid people on this planet??!?!?!?!?!?
What is fuck? What am I?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwSjGKbUYd0
Is this BOC? This is def fuck.
Fuck my BOC!!!
No. just kidding.
I’m Marcus Eoin!
