I am very much pleased from beyond the grave that such esteemed artists have been contributing to my work, I definitely posthumously agreed to this as it will further Jazz as an art form so that symbolic power sufficient to form a functional communicative, and hence musical, vocabulary in order to pursue a uniquely individual solution to the problems and the experiential possibilities of improvised performance.
I know it is not proper to summon the dead back to Earth, but could you please at least write on occasion (a message in a bottle would be sufficient) Mr. Miles Davis. We miss you so much, your music, your trumpet. This is a really nice recording.
